I have worked with Bill Heigen in his capacity as the tenor section leader at Saint Peter’s Church in Midtown Manhattan. He is one of the most professional singers I have worked with. He also has experience working with choirs of all levels, and has great and fun warmup exercises. I have commissioned him to write a work for SATB and clarinet for our Christmas Eve service in 2023, which was really beautiful and not overly challenging to learn. He understands choirs and writes beautifully for the human voice. We really enjoyed performing Bill’s piece and I intend to perform it again.
