Hi everyone! I am here to tell you the story behind 2 tracks that I released recently:

Boas Festas: YouTube
Around 13 years ago I recorded an arrangement of “Boas Festas” by Assis Valente. I have always adored this song because it is a kind of depressing song that talks about Christmas. I know for a fact that I am not the only one who may feel the blues during this time of the year (long story). Therefore, I have decided to strip away the “samba” approach of the original song and I did a cover with only my voice. 13 years later I decided to record my version again. I made some changes, and now here is the final result:

Old video:

Gift of Christmas: YouTube
Back in 2018, I released a single from an original Christmas song called “Gift of Christmas”. The single was well-liked by my fan base. For this year, I recorded a video of the song as a way of wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.

Both tracks are available on all major streaming platforms:

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

It is that time of the year, again. I went through a lot in 2023, and I can say that it was the most challenging year of my life. However, there is always something to be grateful for. After 7 years of working as a singer for another caroling group, they decided that they did not need my services any longer. I cannot say the reason why, but that happened right after I exposed my political opinions on Facebook. That made me sad, but life goes on. Now, I have all the reason to praise the Dickens’ Victorian Carolers!! This group has been working for more than 20 years, and I love it! Today was my first gig with them, and I had a blast!! This month I will be singing Christmas Carols all over the city and beyond, and once again, I will do what I love this Christmas! If you are good at what you do, you are a decent person and a hard worker, you will always have an opportunity to shine despite the close-mindedness of some people who may feel it is “ok” to jeopardize people’s careers based on political opinions.
