Last Saturday I had the pleasure to sing Mahler’s Symphony number 2 for the second time in my career. This piece brings me so many memories of a time in which I was living in Brazil and trying to figure out so many things in my life. I can say that I am a totally different person now! Time changes us profoundly! Yesterday, besides the fact that singing this piece is an emotional experience, I was also mesmerized by the fact that here in the US, people are capable of putting together a concert featuring such a demanding piece in a mid-size church. It wasn’t even a concert hall, it was just a church in Chelsea. The beauty and the message was not lost at all. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to be part of a project like this, and I cannot compliment enough all of those entrepreneurial musicians and music lovers that could bring closer to the public such a magnificent symphony!

Well done Litha Symphony Orchestra!
