This weekend I will be singing Mozart’s Requiem at Lincoln Center in NYC!
This piece was the very first piece I have sung in a professional setting! Therefore, singing it again brings back many memories from the beginning of my career in Brazil.
Let me share with you something that I always think about in moments of anxiety and uncertainty:
“If Mozart, who was a genius, had financial issues, depression issues and not enough recognition as an artist during his life, why should I feel sad when I fail in prevent those kind of issues? If even genius like him have no guarantee of a successful and pain-free life, no one else has! Therefore, there is little I can do to improve myself and my career. It does not depend only on me!”
That thought brings me relief! Maybe should bring some to you as well.
